Amidst the plethora of books on the Postwar RAF there seems to me to be a need for a single volume which
pulls together the evolution of the RAF's Fighter Ground Attack force from the Hunter to the Jaguar
With the benefit of hindsight the Jaguar seems almost to have been designed as an ideal Hunter replacement.
Of course in reality there is the whole P1154/Harrier/Phantom saga.
The RAF capacity to get there in the end is shown by the way in which the Jaguar force takes on the FGA
(and for a while some of Canberra) role.
Anyone want to do a book?
