Indeed based on Soviet project nomelenculture, a Polish Sovremenny should bear the designation of Project 956E or a variant of it like 956.1E as it was an export version specify for Poland otherwise it would be the same as the built ships.Note the 4 956E and 956EM versions which all 4 gone to China still they received Russian names:[URL unfurl="true"]http://russianships.info/eng/warships/project_956.htm[/URL]I doubt the Soviets would design multiple version of a warship just for a single country's export market.
