Please Try to Name this Cessna/Piper-like Aircraft

Hi all,

I know here you discuss the world's most interesting aicraft projects. I hope it is not too boring to you if I ask you to name conventionally looking things (there are a couple) which somebody meant to produce obviously being unsatisfied with he could get from the commercial market.

The shown one is one of them. The N-number (US-American origin) is visible, but not readable. Yet nobody was able to identify it.

Can you? If so, please tell us.
