Hi chaps I acquired this item from a specialist breakers yard in the UK a while ago. The owner kept 2 things back including this and the parachute he told me it was from a US aircraft that had to be destroyed and was made entirely from Titanium. This object that I think is from an air intake if definetly titanium. Any ideas??? Images follow. I was going to use a a plant pot “with a difference” but have since moved to Australia and shipping the thing would be horrible.
