Hi,

Mr. Kenneth A. Browne,Mr. Willard B. Goodman and Mr. Donald J. Lowman designed
a new odd propeller concept and intended to use in unusual airplane powered by two
engines mounted at the rear wing,assigned to Reed Propeller Co. Inc.,page 59;

Interesting. Would a screw type propeller really have higher efficiency? I always assumed they were a result of people not understanding how airfoils work.
 
Unusual, yes. New? That design goes back to Leonardo da Vinci...
