Northrop N-25B Boojum

Re: Northrop N-15

Question: why does the pic say N-25 when the topic's title says N-15??

N-15 was a twin-engine cargo plane project.
N-25 was the first SNARK experimental guided missile.

Is the aircraft you depicted on top of this B-36 the unbuilt N-25B Boojum?

Great fantasy pictue. I always have felt that the B-60 should have gone into prodution, and as a B-60B turboprop? He'll yes.

Sorry to quibble but the props on those turboprops look awefully small compare to the the likely power needed to make the B-60 competitive with, say the Tu-95.

Design of this plane is based on sketch from this forum. Maybe answer is in some other archives.

Next study...

This is gonna be great. Are you preparing these for publication, or merely for your own pleasure?

The launch view from the B-60 cockpit would have been spectacular and exciting. Love all your various illustrations.

now it is mainly for my pleasure but I will prepare it for poster printing, too. Scenes with B-58+Fish resp. SuperHustler, Douglas 1211 + Stiletto etc, B-70+F-108, F-103 action scenes, Boeing 818, Norhrop's and Lockheed's heavy horses - they all are in buffer.
Payment for pictures quality (textures with five layers) are claims on computer power. For example I'm not able this huge model but only with simple (one layered) textures import in my next renderer Vue Infinite due to its size. Carrara is less consuming memory and for still pictures it is still good choice but for rendering some action videos new comp with multi-cored processor and with memory 8-16 GByte will be needed. For now I will release only similar samples of real scenes

in this study I use as N-25B's engines flames light source more Carrara's light sources and not glow property in flame as real light source. Maybe it is better but still not I wait from it - maybe next renderer will do this job better
