Something like a smaller common rotary launcher but sized for AMRAAMs seems to make the most sense, but if you sketch it out then it seems quite a lot bigger than the available bay space.Some articulating / rotating / translating launcher as you say may be more possible. I think this probably gets overly optimised for AMRAAM though and isn't as flexible for different weapon types.
