Hello!
I come here asking for help regarding some info about the unique gun-mounting present on the Su-25T and it's variants. I have been trying to scour the internet for any information regarding this specialized mount, as I am very curious if said gun-mounting is able to depress downwards in any capacity whats-so-ever. Naturally, I am looking for this information because of a video-game/simulator implementation of the aircraft is lacking said feature. The source of where I first saw this claim made was on the War Thunder Wiki, and I have been entranced ever since to finding out if this actually was the case, or if said information was all a bunch of dribble...
I have gone through multiple web-based sources both in English and also in Russian, but none of them seem to go into too much detail about the gun-mounting NPPU-8M. And I have now been lead here, because I believe I could find some sort of answer here. My current leads lead me to the book written by Ildar Bedretdinov: "Attack aircraft Su-25 and its modifications, 2nd edition (ISBN 5-901668-01-4)" which... I do not have!
Along with this, possible other sources for this information include the following magazines(?)
1. Attack aircraft Su-25TM (Su-39). // Aviation and Cosmonautics. - 2003. - No. 8
2. Attack aircraft Su-39. // Bulletin of Aviation and Cosmonautics. - 1999. - No. 3.
3. Attack aircraft Su-39. // Bulletin of Aviation and Cosmonautics. - 2000. - No. 4.
That is all. Thank you in advance for the help given!
