Hi,

did anyone hear about that NASA DAMVIBS research program?,of which the
contenders were; Bell,Boeing vertol,McDonnell Douglas and Sikorsky.
(The NASA DAMVIBS research program was
established with the goal of improving reliability of
airframe vibrations analysis using NASTRAN. Under
the NASA DAMVIBS program, NASTRAN
modeling exercises were conducted by the major
U.S. helicopter manufacturers (Bell, Boeing,
McDonnell-Douglas, and Sikorsky).

The other main contender in the ACAP program was the Sikorsky S-75, a lightweight version of S-76 that existed in prototype form and was flight tested against Bell's own entry.
