With that in mind it certainly seems that, depending on the nature of the supercharger, these late variant experimental Sabres, possibly with lower boost could have been viable high altitude fighter power units. It further leads me to believe that perhaps the E.122 had this curious 3 stage supercharger..?Certainly the E.122 in the linked Flight Global article uses both an annular intake and a contra-prop.
