I don't think there was ever such a thing as a "Myasishchev A-209".


The only A-209 I know is a Mukhamedov multipurpose twin-engine project, which was to be marketed under the company name Aero-M, and also existed in the A-209M variant. I do not know your source, but it is possible that a Western magazine got mixed up betwen Myasishchev and Mukhamedov. Or perhaps Mukhamedov designed the A-209 for Myasishchev initially? The number "209" would fit in nicely in Myasishchev's "200" series which comprise designs M-200 to M-207. I could find no evidence for such a scenario, however.
