This is a original folder report for the testing of a split wing ram jet wing panel for installation on the Lockheed MX-886 test vehicle.
Shown are the original pages from this report.
I know that this may not be a big deal. I just wanted to share it.
I have many more folders from Consolidated Vultee, Convair and General Dynamics I will be sharing.

Very interesting. Does the report feature any illustrations of it's installation on the MX-883/X-7 for context?

It was the structural testing of the Split wing Ram Jet wing panel designed for installation on the Lockheed MX-883 Test vehicle.

Here’s a couple of first pages of the report. It gets very technical. I just found another folder for the SWRJ. GROUND TO AIR SPLIT WING RAM JET INTERCEPTOR VERSION OF THE MX-883. I’ll list some pages from it.

Here’s the first pages of the section folder. Very technical. I have a large negative of a3 Veiw drawing. It was rolled up back then and put in the folder. Anyone know how to straighten out the plastic negative sheet? I have a lot of these negative sheets that were rolled. Some are cracking as some were folded.

... Anyone know how to straighten out the plastic negative sheet? I have a lot of these negative sheets that were rolled. Some are cracking as some were folded.

I can't speak from experience but large-format photographers used to soak curled negs in a glycerine solution (and/or dissolved sodium bicarbonate) before hanging to air-dry with a modest weight attached to the bottom. Kind of scary with irreplaceable sheets like these, though!

I once worked with a large-format scanner during a document migration/digitalization project. It's attendant PC with the appropriate software was quite doddery. So much so, I wasn't allowed to turn it off at end of play for fear of it never coming back up. Poor thing rattled terribly but got it done!

I don't know how easy it is to come by a scanning service these days either in general or in your location but that might be worth considering? I certainly wouldn't like to convince a rolled negative to unroll this many years in, so I would advocate leaving it in it's rolled state FWIW. When I've had access to similar documents in a museum, the solution for photographing rolled documents was simply a weight in each corner and a ladder before returning it to a rolled state.

Great stuff BTW. Please do continue as time allows.
