Here is the Moni, an aerobatic motor glider with original lines and a V-tail offered for kitbuild by Monnet Experimental Aircraft, Inc.

A Moni is on display at the National Air and Space Museum and another one is at the EAA Museum.

Looks an awful lot like the Sonex / Waiex / Xenos family... could they be derived/improved from this?

Actually, it's the other way around with the Moni being first in the family tree. The Sonex/Waiex/Xenos designs are derivatives of the Moni.

Enjoy the Day! Mark
