Tower and Stockade, the 2011 Model
The Mifram Company presents its mobile "combat post – observation tower" that can be deployed and dismantled in thirty minutes. The IDF shows interest

The Mifram Company has developed a 9.5 meter high mobile, air-conditioned "combat post – observation tower" that can be transported by an ordinary 18-wheeler. The watchtower was put on displayed during a preparatory seminar for the IDF and police in advance of the expected rioting in September if the PA decides to declare unilateral statehood.
"The tower's uniqueness is that it can be easily moved from place to place," says David Noy, deputy CEO of R&D at Mifram. "Our aim is to provide solutions for events in unexpected places. The tower can be set up or dismantled in half an hour, catching the enemy by surprise. One evening it's deployed here, the next day it's somewhere else, thus thwarting terrorists from digging a tunnel to booby-trap the foundations."
According to Noy, the IDF has expressed interest in the mobile steel tower. The edifice can be constructed at various levels of protection and mounted with cameras for remote surveillance. During the Second Intifada, the IDF built hundreds of field towers ("pillboxes") in Judea and Samaria and the West Bank, most of which were products of Ackerstein Industries.
