The Mauler was an early attempt to create a fully automated air-defence system for the US Army, in the field. Mounted on a modified M113 chassis, it would carry six containerised missiles with an advanced (for the day) computerised fire control system which would control engagements without human intervention.

There are surprisingly few pictures of this system available. I'm particularly interested in seeing a three view drawing, if possible. I've come across two pictures, one showing it mounted essentially on an unaltered M113 hull:

And another, drawing purporting to show it mounted on a lengthened M113:

According th Hunnicutt, the stretched vehicle was part of the original concept, though it was dropped at an early stage.
