After the abandonment of the R.701 project, Meindl was again assigned by Otto Rücker in 1976 for a new four-seater touring aircraft. Health problems at Meindl delayed the work, they had to be interrupted several times. Meindl dealt with the R.764 until his death. However, it was not built. Engine: 4-cylinder engine with 2-blade propeller, length 9.60 meters, height 2.35 meters, empty mass 672 kilograms, take-off mass 1140 kilograms, range approx. 2000 kilometers.
