They are both McDonnell Douglas MDX concepts. The McDonnell Douglas MD-350N is another model of NOTAR helicopter.

MD Rotary Wing Project Two,with Stealth feature.

It seems to feature telescopic rotor blades, or maybe something like the "Derschmidt rotor"
with additional hinges in the blade ( s. http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,3144.msg101368.html#msg101368)
Strange, too, is the gun, that obviously can be moved forward.
But I cannot see much of stealth in it !

Sorry, I cannot read Italian, but the word "stealth" in quotation marks and the
words "molto silenzioso" make me think, that it was intended to fly very quiet,
but not, what we call "stealthy".
But certainly one of our Italian members can help ! ;)

Hi team,
Does anyone have any photos or drawings of the original NOTAR prototype 65-12917 with baffles on the tail and before the E-style pointed nose? I'm working on a 1/32 model of this configuration but it's hard to find images beyond a couple of poor ones in FLIGHT and the BBC Horizons documentary The Chopper.

The MD Helicopters MD 969 is a combat oriented variant of the MD 900 helicopter capable of carrying gun pods, rockets and missiles, as a possible replacement for the OH-58. A variant called the Swift was based off of it. The Swift was a compound helicopter design that was tendred to the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program, but was excluded from the competition in 2019. I was unable to find any pictures of it as all the sources I have checked just had photos of the MD 969. Does anyone have any photos of the Swift concept?

Given the misfortunesof MDH right now, I suspect it may be a while before anything turns up on a modified Explorer
 
From Air Pictorial 1/1958,

I think the early two helicopters were M-113 and M-112 respectively.

The 2000 was based on the AH-64 dynamic system. 14 to 30 passengers. Announced late 1980, preliminary design ongoing September 1981 and then vanished into oblivion.

Perhaps because the Army didn't want the AH-64s mechanicals out in the civilian world, where anybody could inspect them ?

Perhaps because the AH-64 dynamic components were not as mechanically reliable as the civil market would want to accept.
 
A few more notes about the 2000:

  1. Hughes reportedly constructed and ran a ground-test model for it.
  2. As well as the main civil variant it was proposed for the USAF HX requirement ( CH-53 replacement ) and the USMC HMX ( CH-46 replacement ).
