mbt70/xm803 variants

There seems only one source for variants of the MBT70/xm803 tank for the US Army. As Hunnicutts large book on the Abrams M1 is not easily available and the MBT has become a favourite with online tank game players I thought I would mention them again.
None were ever built but designs for an Armoured Recovery and a Combat Engineer vehicle were developed. I think there was also a bridging one.
The German version KPZ70 was cancelled early on and no variants are mentioned, perhaps because Leopard was already available. As mentioned on another thread a possible AA turret version was supposed to be studied. Again this is only mentioned in one book

My comment about Hunnicutt was total garbage. In the Uk at least it can be had

it was re-released a couple of years ago with the help of World of Tanks IIRC
