But Max Holste didn't only design fixed-wing aircraft, but
also at least one autogiro, envisaged for passenger transport,
agricultural work and military use, too.
Dear Boys and Girls, here is a small feature in French announcing the development of the Max Holste Aviation MH-500 Phénix 4 autogiro; it remained a "project"......
The feature comes from the 1st December 1963 issue of Aviation Magazine......

The MH.500 Phénix IV autogyro, projected late 1961. Equipment for agricultural duty was planned.
I guess that the reason for the name Phénix IV is that it was the fourth time Max Holste started to build aircraft from nothing:
- first start ca.1934 with the unflown first design built bd Bessières in Paris
- second start with the MH.20 and other aircraft built in Clichy
- third start in 1945 after the Clichy factory was burned
- fourth start in 1961 after Max Holste separated from his own company in Reims
