Manufacturer number lists

Dear Gentlemen,

Lark and me are very interested in manufacturer numbers research. We have been talking about the idea of start a topic here to build a list of manufacturer numbers with the correspondent drawing when available.

What do you think about it?. Which should be the right place to post it?. According to the forum structure it would be split beetwen pre and post 1945 sub-forums. Our first list would be for Republic Aviation.

Anybody interested?

Times like this I'm sorry I didn't get a copy of the comprehensive listing of Lockheed project numbers that the late Bill Slayton put together. He kept one copy and Lockheed got two and now no one at Lockheed can find either one they got.
