Maersk Line Triple-E class built by Daewoo Shipbuilding will be an 18,000 TEU container ship. Maersk Line has ordered 20 ships of the class.

They originally ordered 10 with an option for 20 more, the first phase of the option has been exercised but Maersk doesn't seem interested in the second phase. Impressively these ships are only about 100 million USD each, and are to all be delivered by 2015. First one in 2013.

Which brought the total number of Triple-E class vessels ordered by Maersk to 20. Maersk chose not to exercise its option for a third series of 10 vessels and it expired in December 2011. Since the option for the last 10 vessels had already expired, I chose not to mention it in my original post.
