The Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major was used to power the Convair B-36 Peacmaker, the Lycoming XR-7755 was going to be used to power some future concept bomber. The B-36 was a beast as it is, and the Lycoming XR-7755 was 143% more powerful than the Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major. One can only imagine what could possibly need that much power.
