The German publisher Bernard & Graefe has a series Die Deutsche Luftfahrt

- One book in the series covers Arado.

- Another deals with aviation in the DDR

Others deal with important persons in German aeronautical history, which in some cases gives a pretty comprehensive picture of the companies they were involved with.

- Willy Messerschmitt

- Kurt Tank

- Ernst Heinkel

- Hugo Junkers

- Ludwig Bölkow

- Edmund Rumpler

All of them are a bit light on unbuilt projects, but if you want insight into the companies' history and what the companies built, they are very good.

If you are mainly interested in unbuilt projects, Midland and Crécy/Hikoki offer specialist books. Some out of print titles are on offer at extortionate prices.

www.bookfinder.com combines results from abebooks, alibris and possibly some others.
