Some interesting news regarding systems similar to JLENS (and other options)

7 years after the death of JLENS, maybe we'll something similar made?

In case of Poland, the threat from Russia as showcased in Ukraine (long range suicide drones, loitering munitions, traditional cruise missiles) makes JLENS as conceived (pair of blimps being one set, one tasked for long range surveillance with low-freq radar and other for tracking with high freq-radar, also prociding fire solution) literally the perfect solution, if they could solve the tether and safety problem this time around. In the Breaking Defense article other solutions are also mentioned, but I think blimp is the solution which there's most experience in.

Korea also used to develop a JLENS-like air and surface surveillance tethered blimp, which also saw similar fate to JLENS, including the tether breaking away and the blimp crashing, deciding the fate of the programme.

(I've wondered if I should make this thread about pseudo-satellites/high altitude, long endurance surveillance systems in general, but thought that would be too broad of a topic)
