The Lockheed Model 75 Saturn commuter airliner was an attempt to capture the short-haul segment of the post-World War II commercial market. First flown on 17 June 1946, the fourteen-passenger Saturn, which could easily be converted to cargo-only transport, could not compete with the glut of former military transports appearing on the market after the war.
