No tail rotor(s)? How would it cancel out the torque?

I think the triangular thing we see hovering above is the same aircraft seen under another angle. Distingable are two aft projected outward canted beams with nozzle at their tips providing torque control and propulsion? Compressed air I presume.

Apparently Lockheed California did a fair bit of in-depth design work on this concept, possibly even getting as far as wind tunnel models. We might want to think about moving this over to Postwar Aircraft Projects.
