Lockheed CL-329 twin-jet prototypes

Hi,

I want to ask that why did Lockheed change the shape of CL-329 ?.

Well, the first prototype or two had two engines (Bristol Orpheus) while the production ones had four smaller ones (P&W JT12A). Also, underwing tanks were added to the final design as were "eyebrow" windows above the main windshield. As near as I can tell, though, the basic shape didn't change (note that it does have an all-moving horizontal stablizer).

If I'm not mistaken, the Jetstar was the first civilian jet aircraft to have an all-moving horizontal stabilizer.
