That bottom one looks like the inspiration for the Syd Mead artwork.

The bottom image looks very similar to the image that was on a computer flight simulator game cover back in the early 1990s called F-29 Retaliator, I think it was developed by long defunct software games company Ocean. That game got me interested in military aviation.

btw. for me the start was Fighter Pilot, on ZX Spectrum, in 1984.
