It would have consumed a considerable mass of oil... The cylinderhead should have been designed for water cooling otherwise it will shurly overhead (twice as much heatflow compared to four stroke engines, without cooling by fresh air).

Some Years ago, I was contacted by an young inventor who invented quite the same approach, I told him, nice idea, but I doubt there will be marked for it.
