LEPUS bomb?

I was poking about for bits on Microcell and came across this thread:

Any ideas what this LEPUS is? Google turns up nothing. And the second image... is that a 177?

Not a bomb but a flare carried on many RAF aircraft types through to at least the late 1980s. Google Lepus Flare and you will get plenty of links.

Any ideas what this LEPUS is?

LEPUS were the illumination flares, to illuminate ground targets for nighttime attacks. If my data is correct, they are of Sweden design. They were put into aerodynamic container for toss bombing delivery from low altitude.
