Couldn't find a dedicated thread so here goes.

I don't know if it's the appropriate thread. I've just received a wonderful book about the Leclerc.
Char Leclerc by Marc Chassillan
The book is in French and count 352 pages.

Here is the presentation translated to English:
Designed to destroy the hordes of Soviet tanks on the plains of Germany, the Leclerc set the performance bar so high that, forty years after its conception, engineers the world over still dream of matching it when designing a new tank. Hitting seven moving targets at distances of up to 3,000 m in one minute, while driving off-road at 50 km/h, is a feat that can only be achieved with exceptional technologies.
Thanks to its modular design, the Leclerc is already ready to fight alongside robots, drones and digitized infantrymen, linked together by a tactical intranet.
The use of confidential archives and the recollections of those involved in the program have enabled the author, who was himself closely involved in the project for more than twelve years, to write this reference book, which traces the history of development, behind the scenes of Franco-German cooperation, and the study of all the versions, including those that have remained secret in the design offices to this day. At a time when the next generation of land superiority tanks is being prepared, this book offers a fresh look at the most formidable of modern battle tanks.
And here is my first "quick advice" after a few hours:
Received today, this is an extensively updated second edition, including the XLR standard.
I found everything I'd hoped for in this book, and more.
The author worked at GIAT/Nexter, one of France's leading tank manufacturers.
He has written numerous articles, notably for RAID, including on prototypes and projects. Many of which I have or will use for my own projects.
In addition to all the projects and variants already known, "Char Leclerc" also deals with many Leclerc projects that didn't see the light of day: foreign prospects and variants, proposed evolutions...
I found everything I needed for the "Alternative Designs" design projects on my "ToDo list", and even a little more.
The book is richly illustrated: photographs, diagrams, plans...
