Do you think this?Left one is steam turbine powered design and right side is H-39/42, bigger than H-39 (close to H-41 size), there's one preliminary H-39 with 16x15cm guns (only data) in RM-6.I have found these blueprints on the disc you have on first page. I thought that this is H-40 B but the length isn´t right and superstructure is same as on H-39.
That one is a bit of a mystery. The only information I actually know of about it is from that exact forum post you just linked. Other than that, I've personally never have been able to find much about it. From what it seems like, nobody really knows much about it. At least from my research._Sarcasticat_ or any others have you ever came across of a mention of the German Mogami? A KMS Light cruiser proposals with 5 triple 15cm guns?
It would appear that way.So again they just stole my drawing to use as a basis of their own design....
Many years ago, my friend Michael made a comparable drawing of an updated Mackensen. I was doing something very similar for an Ersatz Yorck, though mine will someday be a scale model.Hello all,
For those of you not in this particular naval circle, I'm rather excited to share that someone has made a 3D model of my "Modernized Derfflinger" under the name "Ludwig von Reuter". It's missing a couple of things, and has some dubious late-war "upgrades", but overall the guy (SSteve_Man) did a wonderful job in modeling the ship. I also spent a lot of time reading and researching Scapa Flow for a Kanmasu game (if you know that word, you know what I mean), so I'm a pretty big fan of the choice of name for her.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, if you have it around still. (The Mackensen and the E.Y., I mean, if you don't mind.)Many years ago, my friend Michael made a comparable drawing of an updated Mackensen. I was doing something very similar for an Ersatz Yorck, though mine will someday be a scale model.

This is what Michael sent me long ago. I've been using it for ideas on my E.Y. My E.Y model will retain its casemate guns, though.I wouldn't mind seeing it, if you have it around still. (The Mackensen and the E.Y., I mean, if you don't mind.)
There's also I/35 which is a shallow water coastal defense battleship, armed with a single triple 35cm forward, most evidence i can find so far is that Germany somehow acquired a sketch of triple 35.6cm turret from US battleship Idaho (sketch dated 1925, around the same time when Zenker designing these new diesel powered ships), that's probably using as basis for 35cm turret for I/35.Does anyone have information of the 1920s-era Reichsmarine projects developed under Treaty of Versailles restrictions? I have limited information on 3 of the ships in this series:
IV/30 is depicted to Nelson-class like all forward main guns as well. Anyway just for fun, i built IV/30 in Minecraft years ago (3.5:1 scale) and have to use blender for rendering since my toaster can't handle Minecraft poor optimization.the existence of a Project IV/30 Linienschiff was mentioned. Assumedly, this project would have had the aforementioned improved AA.
Many of these models are available on Ebay. Just look up 1/700 Rudolph Bird's Models. The origin of much of this information was a gentleman named Detlef Hartwig. A tribute to him was posted on the SteelNavy board when he passed. I think I have a copy of it on my computer. I'll post it up when I find it.I only vaguely remember that the original creator of this model also have several other models with hypothetical refits, rebuilds. "Berlin" is said to be based on a private cruiser design from Schischau-Werke shipyard but i have my doubt since there's no sketch or blueprint of such ship, but of course there's no stopping KM interests into private projects, much like high-speed battlecruisers KW45 and KW50 or those wacky Atlantic bomber carrier destroyer and cruisers.
