I've been reading what little there is about this "nut-case" and his 300-mph submarine. Preposterous drivel, but interesting, nonetheless. I've been trying to get a copy of his book, "The Fastest Submarine", but the damned thing's going for hundreds of dollars! Is there anybody on the Forum who has a copy of this book and is willing to scan it for a fellow enthusiast? I know this may violate some copyright laws, but we're not exchanging money for it, and it is out of print.

From the reports, Papp was an archetypal 'Mad Inventor', complete with unproven tech, wild stunts and blatant paranoia.


The only gotcha seems to be ongoing efforts to weaponise super-cavitating torpedoes...
