Technical Writer - Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program
The ICBM System Program Office must prepare a sustainment and acquisition concept to ensure a safe, secure and reliable MM III weapon system as required by the war fighter (Air Force Global Strike Command) through 2030. This activity replaces the current ICBM Prime Integration Contract (IPIC) and is identified as the Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct (FISAC). The Integration Support Contract (ISC) will not only assist in acquisition and technical sustainment engineering, but also help train and develop this capability in the government. This contract will augment organic resources by providing breadth and depth of capabilities for system engineering and integration, risk management, technical assessment, acquisition program management, strategy development, organization and change management, interface with operations and logistics, business analysis, mission effectiveness, and ICBM Demonstration / Validation (Dem/Val) Integrated Applications Programs.
Position will be located at or near Hill AFB, Utah.
This individual will support Government acquisition efforts through their ability to organize material and perform writing assignments according to specifications regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology. Write technical descriptions using knowledge of material standards, industrial processes and operating procedures. This person will be responsible for creating acquisition documentation, evaluation of program data, and validating program information in order to make programmatic recommendations to the customer System Program Office. Required Skills:
Five (5) years of ICBM weapon system experience, to include weapon systems technical writing/editing. Knowledge of technical data management policies. Knowledge of the DoD 5000 Acquisition process. Knowledge of grammar, writing, puncation, editing practices and style practices. Review contractor provided technical data/manuals that must often be tailored or modified to fix language and configuration of existing related ICBM weapon system technical data. Secret clearancePreferred Skills:
A TS clearance is preferred.
