I would hesitate to read to much into this decision. It is likely more about coming up with an H-60 replacement within NATO (Europe). NATO may note need (or want to pay for) the extended range required for the US FLRAA program.As to Defiant continuing to fly, I would suspect that they are waiting for down select to decide if it makes financial sense to continue to open the envelope.
