Better than a flying car because it doesn't need to carry three empty chairs and a glass cage around? Possibly. I'm pretty sure this is the same guy who invented that jet backpack that the Royal Marines oogled but will probably never go anywhere far. This looks kinda balling though. Would absolutely not mind hauling 200 mph at 50 feet on this thing.

Weird the cargo version is supposed to go twice as fast and carry more stuff though...somehow. 500 mph exposed is easily doable with a full helmet and Nomex/Kevlar riding suit I'd think tbh.
