From Aviation magazine 1954,
here is a strange competition for piston engine trainer aircraft,they
displayed two from Fuji and Mitsubishi,what was those designations ? ;
Fuji Industries - formerly Nakajime - started the study of a school and
training plane which would be fitted with a Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp
Junior motor from 450 hp.
For his part. Mitsubishi works on the same kind of plane but equipped
with a more powerful engine like its competitor, this aircraft is designed
for the future army of Japanese air. At the same time,Mitsubishi negotiates
with North American for assembly in Japan of T-28 two-seater designed to
equip the Japanese national security force.
