As soon as I saw this, the Caproni Ca.60 came to mind. ;D Of course, in the Ca.60, Caproni upped the wing count to nine (making three sets of triplanes) and made it a flying boat. Though, Caproni at least got his Ca.60 off the water (for a very short time). I don't think I can say that about Muzik's design. And one should wonder if Muzik's plane was inspired by the Ca.60 given the big flying boat made a lot of fanfare prior to its March 4, 1921 ill-fated first flight. Muzik's patent was filed in May 1921.
