Does anybody know about future plans for this aircraft once restored?
I was assuming it'd either go in the front section (conservation Hall) of Airspace, however there is a dedicated Air and Sea hangar. Then again the Shackleton MR.3 would probably not fit in the dedicated space due to its size compared to the smaller Lancaster, which barely squeezed into the WW2 Belfast-Truss style Hangars during the construction of Airspace (2005-7).
Any ideas on this subject would be greatly appreciated as its been playing on my mind for months!
Thanks,
Fynn
