Bailey, thank you for your post, since the three view drawings of these aircraft are very rare.


Last evening I browsed my books about this argument, and I found that for the same RFP also Breda-IMAM with Filippo Zappata planned to study a trainer with an Alvis Leonides engine, but I was not able to retrieve any other info about this project.

Probably Zappata was studying this aircraft when Breda was close to the end, so the project very likely stopped in the preliminary phase (My source is Emilio Brotzu, "Aviazione militare in Italia 1944-1980" Ed. Dell'Ateneo & Bizzarri).


In the same book, I found that Macchi studied also a M.B.323 variant, the M.B.323T with front tricycle undercarriage, like the North American T-28.
