In a post on Ilyushin Designations way back in 2008 (http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,4943.msg39247.html#msg39247), member Ucon mentioned the Il-X passenger project.
I found this photograph of a model in AiK (Aviatia i Kosmonautika) issue 1991-01.
A number of projects were shown (McDD MD-12X, Yamal amphibian and the Il-X) but the accompanying text was discussing new general aviation developments and had no direct references to the images.
The model looks to be at a show, possibly in Russia as the sign is in Cyrillic.
It is a twin rear-mounted prop-fan pusher passenger aircraft, similiar in size to an early Yakovlev Yak-42.
Does anyone know what became of the project or have better images of the diagrams shown mounted behind the model ?
