I came across this picture, i wonder...is that a Firestreak ? (im a bit confused about the missile's "head")

What appears to be the seeker is a protective cover over the faceted seeker of a Firestreak missile.
Bit of damage/peeling on the starboard-rear of the radome in that pic.
Aircraft numbers are quite different: 253 in the first photo and 245 in the second one.

Ah, jeez, you are right. So, this was actually a routine thing to fit the cap soon after landing, apparently.
