IAI RA100 ESTOL Transport Project

the IAI develop an ESTOL transport aircraft,called RA100 with high-wing and powered
by two turbofans as I see,and could accommodated 100 passenger.

Reading that paper, I think, this design is at least on the threshold of what we regard
as a project. IAI probabyl couldn't start with development on its own, but teamed up
with a foreign company,it certainly could build such an aircraft. What I'm missing in that
paper, is an explanation, where it really could be used to advantage. The overcrowded
situation of nowadays airports is represented, but I cannot think of pressing ESTOL aircraft
into the crammed flight plans as well. But more widespread use of airports like the London
City Airport could be an argument, I think.
