I was showing a picture of the Boeing Microfighter to a friend and noticed something unusual. Now, I may be remembering things wrong, but the document said that it used dual 25mm chain guns.
However, as the picture below shows, there is a "25MM GUN HYDRAULIC DRIVE" in this chain gun.
Does this imply a hydraulically-driven chain gun? What kind of fire rate could you get out of that? It would be interesting to see how high a fire rate you could get a Mk44 for example. You'd probably need a heavier barrel, though.
