Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. The propulsion system looks fragile, and the rest of the airframe would be quite expensive to build, and rather overweight.

Considering that one was a four-turboprop transport aircraft (the same P-3 Orion shown in the artwork just above), and the other was a turbojet supersonic fighter designed for dogfighting, there can really only be one valid interpretation of who hit whom.
