Hughes Aircraft Company XAAM-N-11 model with "Marine" markings found on ebay.
To my eye this looks different than the production AIM-54 Phoenix. Thoughts?

Seller's description:
It's that time of year to thin out my personal collection of historic militaria and vintage aviation collectibles.
This is an EXTREMELY rare Hughes Aircraft Company XAAM-N-11 Missile, In-House Desk Model. From the mid 1950's. Made of wood, with the center upright of the stand made of metal. You will probably never see another one for sale. It is approx 15.5" long, and 1.5" dia. The stand is approx 8"x6". It's missing two of the short tail fins. One of the long tail fins has a 1" crack near the end. One of the two metal mounting pins has fallen inside the body of the missile. Mounts and displays fine on the one pin. Can't tell if the lettering is painted on or decals.
The only item for sale in this auction is this ONE Desk Model. Other items shown are from my personal collection, and may be for sale in other, separate auctions.
