The P.1121 looks like a reasonable design with few risks. Maybe it could find a niche between the Mirage III and Phantom, also stealing some OTL F-104 sales. A Mk.2 later could tackle the Mirage F1. Give it a Spey in place of the old big thirsty turbojets - or even better, a RB.141 Medway right from 1960. Compared to the Mirage and Phantom with turbojets it could help the P.1121 further.
