Helicopters and Autogyros

Hallo,
we can speak about little known helicopters and some post WW2 atogyros from many countries.
from france:
Aerospatiale X-380 :was a SA-365N with combined composite rotorhub/mast, 5 blade
rotor and swept tips.
Cantinieau-SNCASO C.100 pen frame single seat helicopter with a triangulated tube structure surrounding the pilot and carring the engine and rotor
installation at its apex above the pilot's head,FF 1951.
Cantinieau-Matra Bomby :single seat helicopter similar to Aerotecnica AC series but embodied a triangular end to the tailboom , FF 1963.

Also from spain;

AISA H-51 :was experimental ultra-light helicopter with tip mounted
pulse jet propulsion.
AISA H-52 :was the same to H-51 but of conventional layou and
featured by a single-blade main rotor.

USA Logan :single seat amateur-built light helicopter.
Poland Matula Liliput :ultra light helicopter with Ramjet at rotor tips,
design in 1957.

The only ramjet helicopters from Poland I know are

* JK-1 Trzmiel
* Kaminski Gigant 2 (amateur-built/never flown)

Could you give more details on the Matula Liliput (information, reference, illustrations)?

Hi boxkite,

the soure for Liliput was in encyclopedia of aircraft by Robert Jackson,with
no more detail.
from finland:
Kokkola Ko-1 was a single seat gyroglider,it was redesignated as Ko-2
with a 28 hp Poinsard engine,the Ko-3 Nousukas gyroplane was flew
successfully in 1961,the Ko-4 was two seat autogyro,FF 1968.

Belgium Maschelin M.58 Masquito: was a side-by-side ultra light two seat of
all-composite construction with a pod and boom fuselage,skid under-
carriage and a 65 hp Rotax 582 engine.
USA Galaxie G-100 : single seat light helicopter of the end of 1960s.
Germany Kindermann helicopter :experimental light machine with direct
powered contra-rotating rotors.

Germany Havertz HZ-5 :a single seat light helicopter and was developed
from two earlier designs HZ-3 of 1953 and HZ-4
of 1966.
Russian Kharkov KhAI-27 :ultra-light helicopter (not mention in Encyclopedia
of russian aircraft).
Hungary SOH SOH-1 :two seat experimental helicopter of 1956.

Siemetski (Germany) ASRO-3T: single seatexperimental helicopter,it wasan open-
frame machine of conventional layout,with a rudimentary
windshield to protect the pilot,a skid undercarriage and
a BMW 6002 turboshaft engine.
,, ASRO-4 :was developed from 3T as a side-by-side two seat,which
had a fully enclosed fuselage pod and tapered tubular
tailboom and was fitted with a 130 hp MAN Turbo 6012
turbine driving a three blade rotor.

Brazil Super Rotor AC-4 Andorinha :was a single seat autogyro with 85 hp Volkswagen
1600 cc engine.
,, ,, ,, M-1 Montalva :was a two seat version of AC-4 autogyro and with
97 hp Volkswagen 1600 cc engine.
USA Glenview GMP-1 Flyride : it was a streamlined all-metal monocoque helicopter
with an automobile-style forward fuselage and forward-
swept rotor pylon, powered by 125 hp Lycoming engine.

Mil GM-1 :four seat helicopter,with a pod and boom fuselage
and all metal monocoque,later refine as Mi.1.
Mil Mi-53 :military attack and light transport helicopter as Hind III.
De Lackner Cloudster :light helicopter,it was a small enclosed rotor
two seat cockpit in the nose,two three blade rotor pylons
-one at each end of the fuselage and 135 hp Lycoming
engine.
Wagner Rotorcar I,II,III :were a coaxial rotor helicopters and the
III was a roadable machine.

USA Lift System LS-3 :two seat experimental light helicopter of 1967.
Belgium CW CW-205 :high speed three seat all metal light helicopter
powered by one 245 hp Lycoming O-435 engine.
For Jemiba,
France Helicop-Air L-50 :side-by-side two seat gyrocopter, it had a
substantial wing and three fin tail,powered
by a 90 hp Continental C.90 engine.
for the CW, it had designed a several aircraft from CW-1 to CW-8
but I don't know they were a helicopters or not.

S-76 airframe,later developed into MH-2000.
Helicop-Jet Helicopter :four seat tip-driven light helicopter,powered by
600 hp Turbomeca turbine engine.
Swidinik BZ-2 (Gil-2) BZ-3 (Gil-3) :two seat light helicopters developed
from Gil-1.

The PZL-Swidnik had a project of 20-seat medium helicopter
powered by two turbine engines during 1950s,but no details
are available (believed SM-3).

In a jet flap rotor, the lift of the blades is controlled by bleed air, which can
be ejected through slots along the blade length. So the lift ratio between hte
advancing and retreating blade can be improved.
At least, that's what I thought, I understould ... ???

USA Lift System LS-3 :two seat experimental light helicopter of 1967.

Pics and a text about the 1965 Lift System LS-3, which had an accident on Sep. 10 of that year and probably never flew again after that.

Noteworthy is the fact that this very original-looking machine had the names of R. Bendix and M. Jensen associated to its inception.
