Heinkel He 120 / 220

Hello,
Is it true that Heinkel's project, the He P. 220 flying boat (1943), was said to have far superior calculated performance and military capability to the competing Blohm & Voss Bv 222 model?
The weapons load was said to have been 8 tons (17,600 lb)! Does anyone have any more technical data on this model?
