The British B.A.E. Kingston P1214-3 Xwing Fighter Interceptor is the only aircraftdesign that was really an X-Wing version. It was designed by Hawker Design Team at Kingston in the late 70's for RAF as Advanced-Short-Tak-Off / Vertical Landing Fighter.. The aircraft had 3 adjustable thrusters from the jet motor (s) that controlled the direction of the jet stream, and using so -called PCM (Plenum Chamber Burning) before these. The problem with PCM was that developed more heat, sound and vibration, instead of Harrier's solution, even if got more effect.
P1214-3 was made a few models of, for testing in the development., And was also an influence over Harriers V/STOL properties.
This "3-nozzle-swiveling-thrusters" was also adopted in a somewhat different configuration, on Russian Yak-141 Supersonic VTOL Interceptor prototype.
My RC Model is as usual (

power.
